Okay, so I know its a lot to read for one week but the Carnegie and Pullman Strikers statement are not long. And the Wilentz piece is fairly easy reading and I think you will find it interesting. Montgomery’s Workers Control piece is a bit dry but it is important for making the case about how skilled workers thought about work in the late 19th century. They really did think they were equals with their bosses! So its important and you can’t get this stuff from just reading the textbook.
